Wings

After the Beatles and after the two solo albums of Paul McCartney, Wings was born. A band that consisted of the core members Linda and Paul McCartney and Denny Laine. This band became hugely successful and scored a large amount of commercially successful songs. It proved certainly that Paul McCartney was able to write hit after hit after hit. The music was basically pop music with influences from rock, disco and ballads. They made seven albums and four of those reached the number one spot. All of the albums entered the top ten.
