Music with quality

This is about the album Black in the Saddle from Cowboy Troy. A wonderful mixture of country, rap and hard rock music. The creativity on this album has reached new levels in music land. The guitars have a great rock sound, full and blasting, the bass is low, low and low and the vocals are artfully posed and mixed. You find energy, raw power, original structures and melody lines. There are very creative backing vocals and snarling guitar solo's. A nice and well crafted mixture of different music styles. Definitely something that will give your record collection a fuller sound. Enjoy the album...

I was in contact with a friend of mine and he told me has was having a meal and a drink while listening to a Christmas album of Frank Sinatra. (Thanks Stephane). It was just what I needed to put on. I have picked out four Christmas albums. They are from Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, the Carpenters and Elvis Presley. On purpose I did not chose anything modern. (perhaps I'll do that another year) I remember when I was a little boy that these songs were what  I heard on the radio and it made me realise that Christmas for adults is something that will take them back to when they were little, especially when they are celebrating the holidays with their family, including grand parents and grand children. These Christmas albums get me in the Christmas spirit. I fancy eggnog, cake, speculaas, chocolate and the smell of something for a great late lunch/early dinner in the oven. Let me take this opportunity to pass on a little story that I read. This is the time that you receive a little extra from your boss and you have your works Christmas do's etc. Now this person let's call him John, received a packet from his boss containing some wine, nuts, fruits, cheeses, candy and such... John didn't really eat these kind of things, so rather than taking out the few things he liked and throw the rest away, he gave this to somebody whom he considered the right person to receive this. So if you receive Christmas presents that you don't really need, perhaps somebody else (somebody you don't even know that well) will appreciate it. I hope you all have a great Christmas. Enjoy your music...

Known for his voice that is just inimitable, Joe Cocker is an outstanding vocalist. He has started to perform in 1960 and (at this moment of writing) is still performing live. The first song that made Joe Cocker a household name is his version of With a little help from my friends from the Beatles. It is that version that has made the song what it is today. And of course from that moment on there was no looking back. A string of commercial successes has seen the light of day since his remarkable performance at Woodstock in 1969. Enjoy a collection of his work. (And thanks sis, for letting me know.)

A band with an attitude sometimes bigger than the quality of their music but undeniable some of their songs are wonderful, musical gems. Not as much as Liam claims though. Oasis was a band that that played pop music with the sound of a hard rock band. And with that they have created history. Liam's voice fitted in perfectly. On top of that, this was a band having it all, internal fights, members fired, replaced, getting sued, alcohol and drugs abuse, boasting about that in the media, divorces and 70 million albums sold world wide. Some of their songs will prove in time that they are hymns of British pop music and they shall be sung by generations to come. Listen to this collection of their work and at the end you can hear Noel do a few tracks live, enjoy...
