George Gershwin

I had heard of the name Gershwin. If you like music and you are interested in music sooner or later you will hear the name. I only recently found out, who George Gershwin actually was. A piano player who died at the age of 38. He lived from 1898 until 1937. The fact that even today, his name is still known must mean that his music has something remarkable. And for me after listening to his works it became clear that yes. This man was an incredible talent. What I like now, when I listen to his piano work is the fact that I recognise his way of piano playing as the music you would hear when you (and I was a young lad then) were watching these old black and white movies with Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin.
