Hawkwind is a band that started in 1969 and is considered the creator of the space rock. The music is well played and melodic paths are set with a large range of instruments and do not shy away from complicated patterns and structures. This doesn't make Hawkwinds music uneasy to follow however. On the contrary, this is music that will reel you in and you will have difficulties to let go as it is immensely diverse and intriguing. You may get a certain "Pink Floyd" kinda feel but Hawkind is too much rock orientated for it to last or for this to be a nuisance. Hawkind is a band that shows how you can creatively use instruments and don't forget ladies and gentlemen, the music is recorded without sampling or computerised gadgets.
