Type O Negative

This was a band that played one of the most beautiful versions of metal. Very melodic and covered with a fantastic voice. Type O Negative became known thanks to the album: Bloody Kisses. If I had to be on a desert island, this album is one that I would take with me. It has a wonderful musical setting, surprising even because this is not what you expect metal music to be. This is a very creative album that deserved more exposure on the radio but because it isn't commercial pop music, evidently this could not happen. Never mind that now because now it is on MWQ. The guitar sounds are without exaggerating an example and a must achieve, for many beginning rock bands. This is what I call a serious distorted sound with attitude. The drums have this marvelous presence all throughout the albums and has done something that only few bands know to achieve, it has left space for the other members of the band. (Something that you can find also with Led Zeppelin) The voice of the late Peter Steele is dark, slightly scary but also very intriguing. The songs are musical gems, one after another and you stay permanently curious as what will come next. One thing for the not hard rock fans: You will still like this album because it is that good. It may take you two or three times to  get used to it. Once there however, there will be no turning back, welcome to the dark side. I hope you all appreciate this wonderful album, enjoy...
