Christmas

I was in contact with a friend of mine and he told me has was having a meal and a drink while listening to a Christmas album of Frank Sinatra. (Thanks Stephane). It was just what I needed to put on. I have picked out four Christmas albums. They are from Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, the Carpenters and Elvis Presley. On purpose I did not chose anything modern. (perhaps I'll do that another year) I remember when I was a little boy that these songs were what  I heard on the radio and it made me realise that Christmas for adults is something that will take them back to when they were little, especially when they are celebrating the holidays with their family, including grand parents and grand children. These Christmas albums get me in the Christmas spirit. I fancy eggnog, cake, speculaas, chocolate and the smell of something for a great late lunch/early dinner in the oven. Let me take this opportunity to pass on a little story that I read. This is the time that you receive a little extra from your boss and you have your works Christmas do's etc. Now this person let's call him John, received a packet from his boss containing some wine, nuts, fruits, cheeses, candy and such... John didn't really eat these kind of things, so rather than taking out the few things he liked and throw the rest away, he gave this to somebody whom he considered the right person to receive this. So if you receive Christmas presents that you don't really need, perhaps somebody else (somebody you don't even know that well) will appreciate it. I hope you all have a great Christmas.
