Hollies

The Hollies are a band that have been performing since 1962 and still do so today. Their music is mainly pop with influences from Mersey beat and rock music. They are still performing today. The Hollies stood out because of their original vocal work and their up beat songs. In the seventies they became a more melodic band where the instruments started to have a more important presence. The Hollies haven't created a new style of music but their songs were never the less original and have influenced a rather large amount of artists: The Osmonds, Neil Diamond and even Cher to name a few.
