Pointer Sisters

How I hated them, oh yes, back in 1978 the song Fire ( a cover from Bruce Springsteen) really did my head in. The Pointer Sisters couldn't do any good in my opinion. Only years later I started to appreciate their music. (I'm still not too keen on the song Fire, no matter who plays it) They touch everything in between the soul - disco genre. Sometimes there were three sisters on an album, sometimes four but their music has always been pleasant to listen at, if you take the time to listen two or three times to their music. I was unfortunately unable to get my hands (matter of speaking) on their Energy album, or I would have that put here as well as I think it is probably their best work even if sales numbers were not as high as the Break out album but you will have to settle for a compilation of their work. Don't expect to be taken to a musical nirvana but hear it more as a: Oh yeah, that was then or Ooooh, was that how they did it then, kind of music. Enjoy...
