Paul Weller

When I heard the Jam for the first time, I automatically became a fan of Paul Weller. This man has it all. Plays guitar, has a distinctive voice and knows how to use it, writes great lyrics and has style. The music that Mr Weller has made first with the Jam, then the Style Council and after that as a solo artist is, naturally, music to my ears. The man is a walking avalanche of creativity. The evolution is very nice to follow as well. With the Jam, rock, rebellion and aggression are clearly present while with the Style Council, more melodic sounds come forward but he does not shy away from strong rhythm sections in the songs. His solo work has become very diverse, touching a lot of styles but you will be able to recognise Paul Weller still remarkably easy.
