Isley Brothers

For me this is the best cross-over band ever. They started in the fifties, are still active today and have transformed the history of music by putting soul music on the map. Great vocal work, lovely guitar sounds and a rhythm section that will make you feel "groovin". The Isley Brothers have covered songs and made them sound like it was their own creation. I think that where it's concerned ambiance, these are the first people, after the jazz period, that have created vocal harmonies with tenderness in their songs. Sheer brilliance!!!
