Ramones

Today I can safely say that I appreciate the work and influence and the start of certain musical movements of and because of the Ramones. In the seventies when I heard this for the first time, I was not very keen on them. Nowadays I understand and receive better the brute energy and the rough sounding songs. I can see at what point they must have influenced bands like the Clash and the Sex Pistols. The song Now I wanna sniff some glue puts a smile on my face. I'm not going to sniff some glue, never have but it's a song that shows this lovely primitive creativity that the Ramones have been able to put in there and it's something that has helped them to have their sound.
