Jethro Tull

A flute... in a rock band??? And yes, indeed and it sounds great too. Jethro Tull made things happen that didn't exist before. They created the ultimated concept album, (1 song lasting over 40 minutes) they won a Grammy award for heavy metal, beating Metallica (haha) to it. Their music style is a wonderful concoction of blues, rock, classical music, folk music, jazz, hard rock and now world music. If there is any band that should win a gold medal for originality, whether that be for it's theatrical performances, their LP sleeves or their music it is definitely Jethro Tull. Enjoy their music...
