The Cure, a band that has been influencing thousands of other bands not only with their music but also with their attitude and way of dressing. The Cure was as I can remember the first "Gothic" band. They were a kind of mixture from the punk music and the new romantic style. At that time of course nobody knew and the whole Gothic style in music did not exist. The Cure has created songs that sometimes are optimistic and hopeful at other times their work can be very depressing.
